the thing is i need the car going soon and my funds arent endless for different engine mounts and the other various things that i would need. yeah i could get a 200tdi for that kinda price, but its the exact same engine and so the swap will be easy/not as time consuming. also the LD28 are pretty rel...

just sorted an LD28 in cambridge, getting it freighted soon, 1400$ inc freight :D
I'm in CHCH.

just removed glow plugs and one was bent/broken, think there is no fixing the engine right now...

yep, it finally happened... lesson learnt ..... was going through a deep stream and my manifold between the turbo and intake came off, sitting low in the car the manifold sucked water right into the engine, seizing it and yeah. got towed out and home (god bless you random stranger) and now I'm looki...

yeah your right its ex air force, and instead of an intercooler where outside air cools the air in the intercooler, you use a water to cool the air (takes the heat away faster and more efficiently) so I'm using this - http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/performance/radiators-coolin...

Hi guys, my name is will, new to the forum, Only recently have become the owner of a 1983 defender 110, bought of trade me. she's had the ld28 conversion, a turbo fitted where i recently fitted a rather high performance aftercooler, radiator and pump setup... still tinkering around with it.
