Does the viscous actually bite when the engine gets hot and sound like a plane taking off and you can feel it rob 5hp off the engine ? Or just oh yea it spins around and I guess it's working Put a cheap crappy temp sensor on /in the bottom rad hose and go test it . If that gets hot under those condi...

Re: Warn 8274 DIY upgrades

I think the brake system is going to need a bit more thought on the whole . What is the rpm increase /torque multiplication from the drum to the disk ? As a disk and pads isn't going to deal with the heat or a lot or torque at low rpm Those disks are made from God knows what garbage. But it rusts un...

http://www.autospeed.com/cms/article.html?&A=111350 So in short get a low pressure adjustable relief valve and get a small one way valve . The relief valve might cost some money . T fittings and hose and a check valve all should cost a few dollars each . Plenty of petrol cars have 5mm check valv...

Have had word that a2z wreckers are exporting anything they can get their hands on at a great rate of knots . Was insured for 8k . Prolly should have upped it to 10 given its current state .

Surely that is intended to mean don't cut down or modify the original one .
If you bolt in an oem manual one Noone is going to care

In the same way every one swaps an oem auto drive shaft and cross member for the manual eqiilivents

Can you elaborate on this a bit more ? Or paste the specific wording that rules a pedal swap as needing cert . I'm not arguing or disagreeing . Just seems dumb if you are bolting oem stuff in ?

Is this 500 psi at the master cylinder or down at the wheels ? Reason I ask is does it have rear brake restrictor like a hilux has ? That applies more force to the rear wheels if the vehicle is heavily loaded ? Has a valve on the body and a linkage to the diff . When the diff gets closer to the body...

Do you have a watercooled ct20 or the non watercooled one . The late watercooled one is considered an upgrade for the early one so it could be worth doing that . I have that on a 5l and it goes great

1kz is bottom thermostat so no point turning fan on at anything close to thermostat temp. engine exit temp should be well above thermostat temp. if you have a 10c split switch then i would be inclined to set it 100c on, 90c off. try not to cool the water in the radiator below thermostat temp as tha...
