Re: Westport Tracks

Long time for me to get back. Cheers for the replies. Yep Seddonville was great. Had a couple of false starts with dead end tracks but found a great loop track that kept us happy. Will definitely be heading back 8) 8)

vacuum booster is nice cause it makes the peddle super soft but the clutch will still work fine with a non boosted master cylinder

Depends what brand. Some don't like oil or petrol much. Ok for tyres though

Narrower rim or bigger/ wider tyre. You could probably get some secondhand rims for $40 each.

Re: B series motor

Could be a fuel block somewhere. Clogged injectors or pump. Take fuel filter off empty it then fill it with injector cleaner before refitting. Also could be air in the injector lines. crack one of the pipes on top of injectors a bit (with motor running) till fuel starts coming out. Retighten and see...

Re: A Frame. Towing a non road legal vehicle.

I have a MWB Landcruiser that I have towed on an A Frame everywhere over the last couple of years. Have gone from here (ChCH) to west coast a couple of times and regularly tow it locally. Have a light bar on the back for safety. The truck is in decent nick mechanically but has had a fairly hard life...

Yep i'm the one who suggested cruiser diffs  Because its not a Cruiser I don't know to much about it  Its an IFS Surf so that's why we talked about doing the SAS (solid axle swap). I may have got confused but I was told the 8" diffs in the landcruiser/prado had stronger internals?...

Re: Leaking bighorn

It should be covered under warranty by whoever resealed it. Failing that i'd start at the bottom with a hose. Give it heaps of water and slowly make your way up the screen checking for leaks as you go. Give it heaps through the vents at the bottom. Sometimes leaves and crap can fill up the drain hol...

Toughened glass if fitted properly can take a hammering. Without being able to get a good look at the windscreen area it looks like you'd need to make a left and right because of the bars. Not a bad thing if you do break one- only half the cost :? Remember if you have a windscreen then you'd need wi...

Don't forget to allow air circulation around the compressor. They do get pretty hot especially if airing up tyres. Keep in mind when you're soundproofing it.
