Re: !997 Prado 1KZ-TE Starting Issues

Thanks tallsam66, Out of interest how did you replace/repair yours once it was confirmed it was the spill control valve? I have heard that a new and even recon'd inejector pump is some serious $$$. Can you buy the spill control valve separately? I guess you still need to get a mechanic to pull the ...

Re: !997 Prado 1KZ-TE Starting Issues

Possibly Spill Control Valve ... mine did that once ... slowly got worse and worse until it wouldn't start at all. It doesn't always throw up a fault code .
If you put a meter on it resistance should read between 1 & 2 ohms.

Sounds like fun ... ill know for sure closer to the time.
For Tailings winches and chainsaws are now essential ... over last Cpl of years has been a lot of windfall and scouring of the track with rain.

Re: Another SAS question.

Throw an LN106 chassis under it.
You will get much better flex than doing an SAS on a KZN130 chassis. The IFS chassis is flat at the front where the suspension bolts on but LN106 is curved so you can have it sitting lower and you will also get more flex.

That seal is 33mm inside diameter but only 44mm outside diameter .. so too small .. that's seal is what LJ71 uses.

Re: Longfield Supersets for LJ7x and KZJ7x Series

Does anyone know what the Toyota part number is for the 33mm seals ? 35mm seal is 90310-35010 Hi, Following on from above I ordered and have now got custom length axles from Longfield to suit the LJ7x and KZJ7x. The earlier model ones should be a direct fit as the oil seal diameter (33mm) should be ...

Get a good safe tank ... the gas tanks I deal with at work are loaded to between 250 & 300 MPa ( Mega Pascals ) that's 36000 & 43000 PSI. That's a bomb. NO dive shop will fill an untested tank. Cant believe you want to bang & bash around something that will kill you when it fails. If you...

how can you tell the centre diff is not engaging? Make sure the leaver isn't fouling on the body. This exact problem can occur with surfs when body lifted. You might have to grind a bit off body to give the leaver clearance to go fully into low range.

Check for wear on the collar that the seal runs on. Also check that the last guy didn't chop the collar off with a grinder and nick the axle.
