jumpy tach
Hey fellas has anyone experienced a jumpy tachometer needle?
Its in my rodeo wich is an isuzu really, it goes up when i turn to the left and down when i turn right, so its affected by gravity somehow and most of the time sits about 2.5 regardless of actual rpm, its annoying me!

Re: New to Jeeps, what are they like to own?
ive had an xj, and now own a zj. the xj was more fun to bash about and you can build them up prett easy. but i love my zj more. i found a tsi model in good nick and low ks. its a luxury suv for 5k, cant get that with any other truck, except maybe a range, but screw that.
jeeps rule.

Re: 249
in light of the full cost i will now entertain the idea of a t case swap. have you done one tj?
Re: 249
I have no concept of how that works. Ill need to research.
Re: 249
right looks sound, i have no issue getting things from states, so far ive had no problems, only this being biger and more expensive, was wondering if there would be import fees or tax at our end? no sure how that works.
Re: 249
awesome stuff.
there is a lot to condsider but i think i will go with option 4-4 it seems the least mucking around.
i can get one shipped here for around 5-6 hundred.
more than i would like but its got to be done,

Re: 249
I was a pickapart recently, there was a 1996 Grand Cherokee with the I6 motor here at the pick a part... their price is $209 for gbox & transfer, or 99 for just the transfer. As is, no returns etc. It would be cheap to mainfreight the transfer case only down there. I can go check the mileage/sp...

Re: grand vs xj
ok, i think you could be right that its not completly locked but still not healthy. i plan to have the rear diff serviced as it has noise, sounds like a bearing. when i turn sharp on the hard top the front end sounds like bad cvs, :| but with a live axle there are none right, Im gonna wear it for as...

Re: Electric fan unit for xj
Thats a great idea. Im considering a small fan hood vent combo. Last time I meesed wiyh the aux fan I couldnt get it right. It would not start when turned on. Never figured out why so I took the switch out.
