hilux mr2 hand brake keeps failing wof
3rd time now. Hand brake has always been crap but need to sort it as I'm getting over tweaking it for all I can get out of it to pass wof. Anyone else have problems with the performance of the hand brake with the mr2 caliper? Thinking of running the prado hand drum brakes. Any suggestions?

Re: Thinking of towing with a 1KZTE?....Think again…
on mine I've removed the egr, throttle body & installed an inter cooler which gave about ~150deg c drop before turbo @ 100kph and then a 3" dump pipe from turbo which dropped it about ~100 c so it now runs at about 300-350 @ 100kph on flat road.

Have you had a Leak down check done on the cylinders to rule out head/piston damage? check glow plugs for damage, get injectors checked then change fuel pump would be my next steps.

I've been through from the springfield side by dirt bike :D :D :D through torless station(private land) to the via duct and the only way across is the train bridge as it's a big drop & the wimac is quite deep/ fast flowing in the gorge there. how ever it would be a good drive to via duct with mi...

Re: 1KZ Mechanical Fuel Pump
I believe they take a 2.4 mechanical pump with boost compensator and fit new internals for the extra fuel flow requirements. but have also heard that it has a drastic effect on fuel economy but have not been able to confirm this yet.
