Re: Anyone have a photo of a TD27 injector pump

For giggles, check the mass airflow sensor wire is clean too. Improved my gutless old Mistral no end.

Re: repairable or not

Quite a few moons ago, I got Tyre General on Treffers Rd in Hornby to fix a slash in the sidewall. Big patch on the inside then vulcanised the cut. Ended up with quite a lump of solid rubber on the outside the sidewall that gets mentioned at WOF's every now and then. Worth having a chat with them, t...

Re: St James Mailing Pass

The deer are there and waiting to be shot. Well, one less waiting now 8) We went over Malings the second week of Dec, got spotlighted a few times by other blokes and two vehicles went across the river. Tsk tsk tsk. Track is the best I've seen it on 3 trips now, great spot for a drive and a camp.

Re: RUC issues Dear LTSA!

Hm, I just checked both my Safari and Mistral online and they have both been changed to 2T sticker from the 3T sticker they have now. Saves me a few bob I suppose, quoting "Please Note: any weight entered is ignored, as the system generated weight is used. "

Re: Eyre creek track Southland?

We went in there for the weekend again, the trip to Shepherds Hut is pretty easy and beyond that a bit more fun, a few 2-3 feet deep river crossings and a small slope to get across. There's a pretty clear track to the top of the main flats then a more serious route that tries to get a bit further up...

Re: Auto giving whiplash!!

My '97 Mistral had the same whiplash problem when it kept dropping out of overdrive on the open road. Changing the ATF fluid and filter fixed it.

Re: Eyre creek track Southland?

We went up there in late March looking for Bambi and it had had some recent work done on the track beyond Shepherds Hut (tree cutting, banks smoothed out etc). We got to the top of the valley to find another fella parked up so came back down a ways. Of course, it may have changed since then but the ...

Re: safari starting

A few weeks back my safari was doing the same thing, getting slower cranking then one day it wouldn't even start. Spent a while cleaning some corrosion out of the battery terminal contacts then coated them in vaseline. Started up no worries after that.

Re: 4x4 Trial 15th March

This was the first trials I've ever been too and I really enjoyed myself, great entertainment for not a lot of cash (for the spectator that is). Lots of fun watching the progress (or lack of) Alastair http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/4811/img3059r.jpg http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/8765/img3060s.jpg h...

Thanks for the advise so far. Amazing what a one word typo makes, I was meant to say it's more for the offroad THAN long distance driving - I realise that the two are kinda contrary!

Cheers

Yet another new Chch member

Hi folks, Been lurking for a while now, thought I'd introduce myself and ask a question of the Nissan loving folks here. I've got me a 1994 Nissan Safari LWB that has a baldish set of 265/70R16 on it and I need to buy some new tyres for it. As it's more the off road and long distance driving machine...
