Sounds like a 40 body on a series 1 chassie powered by a Audi V8 making 800hp with 16in of travel....

So I flushed out the trans and clean the filter. There was a lot of metal filings in there.
Tow the bush truck up the hill on Saturday. I keeped the revs up and had no worries...
Hope that's sorted for a while

I'm using my 80 to tow my bush truck and I've had the Auto trans over heat light coming on. I've got a very big hill climb to get to club land. Last weekend after light came on I put my foot down got the vehicle speed up and the light went out. So what I want to know is do I stay in a lower gear kee...

I've got an old one I found in the great garage clean up....
Looks like end the drive shaft bolts to (pinion?) has been shared off.
Can't remember when I did it must have been a while ago
You can have it...

Edit. Think ring gear is also damaged

Ha I would check in here at least once a day . This is first time this year....
I shortened the PTO shaft on my 40.
Just cut out the bit I don't need layed the two bits of the shaft in a peace of angle to keep them straight and welded them. Still working 15 years later...

I can sort a trip in to BOP 4x4 club land at Tech Park if anyone is keen
Would cost $40 a Truck or join the club and have unlimited access for $125 a year
Land is from scratchie shiney to as hard as you want. Some club members run 40 + tyres

May have to try this on the Falcon.Lost the keys at the beach and Ford wanted $180 for a new one.
Have only one key now and the key ring is one of the big floatie type the boat guys use soI can keep an eye on it

How far round the coast could you go?
Looks like you went in on the road from Martenborough?
We could drive round from Cape Palliser back in the day
Even did a Eastboune to White Rock then out to Martenborough one day
Think the farmer still has the gate locked at the far side of WhiteRock Station
