Re: 1KZ crossover pipe flange dimensions

I'm thinking about intercooling but as I can't find the time to build something for myself chances of getting one made for you are even slimmer. Sorry :( But here are the .dwg files for anyone that wants them.... :) with egr butterfly cutaway https://www.dropbox.com/s/u0sknh69lgfcx7b/1kz%20intake.dw...

Re: 1KZ correction resistors

increase in line pressure........how does that make the trans behave. I hoping your going to say it shift a bit crisper (is that a word?) and not slip under load. Not quite snapping between gears but heaps better. Crisper seems like the right word for it. Also is there an easy way to gain access to...

Can anyone provide dimensions for this.

I want to cad it but don't really want to pull mine off the truck just to measure.

Re: 1KZ correction resistors

Bloody good work mate. Plenty of people playing with mechanical pumps, nice to see some tech on the electric ones. Especially as mechanical ones are getting less common. I've got the bit to do a manual pump...just need some spare $$ to get it built and buy a new turbo. I still think a manual pump, ...

Electronically savvy?...not me. I only know the basic stuff. Plenty of reading did the trick This is the thread I read http://toyotasurf.asn.au/forum/viewtopic.php?t=29886 The boost controller is little more than a few brass fittings http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd78/2meke2/IMG_1873.jpg How it...

1KZ correction resistors

Feeling a tad bored a few weekends ago I decided to have a go at getting my old Surf moving a bit quicker. Did a fair bit if reading re the correction resistor mod on the Aussie forum and these are my experiences.... The vehicle is a '93 KZN130 auto. No mods other than a 2.5" straight thru exha...

WTB: Toyota Hilux single cab flat deck

I'm looking for a truck as per the subject.
I'd prefer a diesel 90's model but will consider anything.
I'm in Whangarei so the closer the better.

Cheers

She's fixed :)
Turns out it was a blown IC and the board was apparently not repairable.
$300 later
At least it'll get a WOF now....

Re: '93 Surf Speedo dramas

I'm leaning toward the speedo itself being damaged somewhere other than the blown cap. The voltage across the screws GND and +VE was 13.9v @ idle. Voltage across the 4P and S screws alternated between 0.18 and 2 when idling forward. http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd78/2meke2/e4c991c5-50f2-4fed-9...

Re: '93 Surf Speedo dramas

Both speedo and odo were working and both stopped at the same time. I figure the sender unit is fine as I've read of faulty senders causing crap running. Mine is still running fine even when I had the entire cluster out of the truck. (no CEL, OD still working, engine running the same as ever) So the...

'93 Surf Speedo dramas

About 4 months ago my speedo stopped working. At the time I wasn't bothered but I'm now getting close to needing a new WOF so need to get it going again. Google suggested the problem would lie in either the sender unit or the PCB on the speedo itself. The Aussie surf site suggested the speedo would ...
