Trans & gear box oil - do we flush?

Can any one help with some info please? I've got a toyota caldina 4wd that I have been told needs the trans and gear box oil changed. The gear box is ATF-Type T (written on dipstick) and the transfer is API-GL-5 (written on dipstick) 1. Do they both use the same oil? 2. Should we be doing a flush fi...
