If you go the ECU flash then if its ever pluged into a factory scan they will identify it straight away, also if they have to do an ECU upgrade all your expensive "mapping" can be lost, and another $1250 needed to reflash it again.... At least with a plug in box it can be removed... And as...

Like with most things cheap = nasty, esp in a highly strung 2ltr twin turbo diesel! Piggyback styles like the steinbauer are very good as they alter fuel delivery and timing, not simply ramp up fuel pressure... There is a real cool brumby floating around vic with lift barwork winch etc, even had the rear center cut out and a hilux center welded in to run an air locker 8) 8) im sure there is a write up on one of the aussie Subaru forums !

Redarc do a neat portable folding solar kit for around $700 but there are plently of cheaper ones out there (well here in aus) that will do the trick for short term :)

You can also get plastic rollers as a replacement item... Not sure if they will fit your fairlead, but if you got a worn out one cheap and re-furbished it then it will be fine.. I use rollers and syn rope, i dont forsee issues 95 percent of the time i will use it...

In qld do you need to get a rwc? They can be quite picky here, (knowing u prob already have, but ...) maybe check the local qld forums for who is good on rwc type inspections?? Shame your not coming this far down :( high country is magic!!

save the pennies, get selectable lockers... your planned 4x4 driving now may change down the track...

auto lockers in the front have their place... ( NOT in the front! ) (ok, im going to get flammed on that lol)
