i dont know but someone else might know. im pretty sure when they went to the 3.0l diesel they went over to the r series box but dont take my word for it. if your talking about the 3.0l petrol v6 it wont bolt straight up it goes onto the r series box. also if you look at the specs between the 3l v6 ...

either find another 3y or 3ye or go 3rz. if you bought a carbed 3y it is easy enough to make it 3ye by just moving the injected stuff to the new motor. If it is the standard gearbox it will be either a w series or a g series box. a 3y will bolt up to the box if you change the bellhousing otherwise it is the 2.4 diesel. the other engine is the 3rz which again all you have to do is change the bell housing. hope that helps. i found my 3y bell housing ...

well yesterday started messing with the engine again cause i only got 330kms to this tank of gas which is around town but worse than before i changed my 3y to injected. found my tps wasnt set right and dropped my timing from 13 degrees to about 9 and also reset my plug gap. seems to run a bit better...

yeah might try and find a w56 find one for a cheap price. want something stronger than a g52 for the future for if i go commy or v8 i already have a good box. good to know they bolt straight up.
