The pumps on these turbo GUs are standard 11mm plungers and according to the main guy in Aus is good for 170hp. Which is far more than the factory turbo is good for. Anything over 14 psi the heat generated out weighs the gains from more boost. The turbo definitely has to be done before the pump othe...

hey mate havent done a timed run yet to find out. mounted the radiater for the intercooler last thursday, just mounted it in the front for now see how it goes. think im going to get the turbo rebuilt first before i get it going better. anyone know of a good turbo guy in auckland preferably out east ...

still havnt got the intercooler on yet but i finally got around to putting a proper air filter in, did it last night. Hey yea its goin good so far just picked up suby water to air intercooler on sat so once thats on ill be able to tune it a bit better. and yes the turbo is high mounted.

re the adapter to plumb up to intake manifold i just used the standard one that the original air cleaner box sits on, its black 2.5inch pipe? that what youre talking about

Yea mines a 1991 so should be the stronger one. am planning to intercool next with a water to air of the subaru type. i hear they work well. but for now... think ill aim around 14psi and 530ish egts see how that goes. looking for intercooler in a couple weeks time. will have to sort air filter box a...

Cheers guys as it is at the mo running 13psi and standard fuel its about 490 max so hopefully will aim for 530ish egt. what about boost whats safe? for long life.

Finally its in. started mon night after work and finished last night. so far ive hooked in the boost tap and turned standard boost(6psi) up to 13psi. still running standard fuel, have to get a few different opinions on how much boost and how much extra fuel. boost gauge and pyro hooked up and runnin...

i ended up getting a td05h off a wrx for 300 off trademe made manifold for $150 max just getting other bits together might get a chance to fit this week will flick up some pics when its done.

1x 35x12.5r15 for sale
just listed a 35x12.5r15 on trademe if anyone is looking at going to 35's and needs a spare been sitting around home and gotta go. its a hankook mt around 12mm tread at a guess in good condition, i brought it to be my spare but ended up with 5 other 35's so using the matching spare.

finding a reasonable td05 16g small is being a bit off a mission broadening my range a bit and looking at t28 turbos now as well. is the .86 exhaust housing ok or the .64 one better kiwibacon you seem to know a bit about this turbo what rev range in the td42 does the .64 boost?

autogauge gauges are on there way now. Still hunting for that right turbo price wise. now looking at an external wastegate. those of you that are running ext what are you using and how are you finding it
