Front coil spring specs needed

Can anyone tell me or point me in the right direction. I need to know the original front coil spring specs for a pre 9/91 80 series.
i.e. the free/uncompressed, length number of coils and wire size?

Anyone know where I can buy springs for a 6" lift to fit an 80 series. After some heavy duty for towing.
Mine have sagged over time and are also very soft.
Want to go to a harder spring.

Re: Problem with vehicle certification

This issue has reard its ugly head again. Had no issues getting a warrant since 2009. The guy I used for warrants has now sold his business. I've pretty much decided to get it recerted. Where would people recommend to go for a 4x4 cert. I live in Hamilton. Don't mind taking it out of town for cert i...

Gasket set for 1HDT engine wanted

My turbo packed a sad some time ago and went through the engine. I picked up a second hand engine for it which got me back on the road. Decided to strip down the old engine to see what the damage was. All I have found wrong is a few bits of turbo blade imbeded in No1 piston. There is no sign of any ...

Only one bearing competely gone. No trace of it at all. All other bearings are fine.

have you priced a new oil pump? No. I don't even know where to get one. I would also assume it would have been replaced when the engine was rebuilt. Thought if I could at least test it and then be able to rule that out as being the cause of the failure. Don't necessarily want to put a new one in th...

1994 MU 3.1 engine rebuild (4JG2)

Got given an Isuzu MU with an engine Knock. The engine had been rebuilt 10000 ks prior. Stripped it down and found No 3 big end bearing completely gone so the conrod was running direct on the crank. Knock found. I have sourced another crank and am in the process of rebuilding the engine (new bearing...

Yep those. Toyota told me they were $200 each. I don't know if that was a mistake or not but I agree dosen't seem right. At least the kit I got came with needle rollers and thrust washer. Went straight in no mods needed so I'm happy. If toyota had quoted me $50 each I probably would have got them an...

According to Toyota around 98 they changed to the roller bearing and thrust washer. They emailed me the parts drawings for both types. Kit arrived from online auto parts. I installed one in my 80 series landcruiser and am very pleased with the change in the truck. I got mine from frozen boost. If it requires a different (ie after market) spindle then that should be supplied in the kit or at the very least stated that an after market spindle needs to be purchased in orde...

trouble is once my speed drops there's very little air flow through it compared to the heat being generated. Even put an aux fan in front that I can turn on.

Realistically you are better off rebuilding/putting a 1hdft with a Gturbo and running 30psi daily. It's bolt in job, no cert needed. Do it over a weekend or two rather than a year of weekends waiting for parts from america with the 6.5. I put off buying a gturbo for years and prices have gone up a l...
