Re: Prado - Southland Vehicle Project
I got some Hankook RT03 MT's as they are a fairly close pattern for an MT - so probably a good option if you want to split the difference between an AT & an MT. They were fairly cheap, handle well on the road, not too rowdy & are wearing well so far. Cheers Clint Thanks mate, I have actuall...

Love them

Prado - Southland Vehicle Project
Hi guys Been a while but have just purchased a low mileage (296k) 96 Prado - or as I discovered last night a 90 series Landcruiser. I am looking to over time modify the vehicle, not for mud bogging/bashing, but more as a trail, fishing, touring and camping vehicle and for my wife, 4 year old and mys...

Re: 3.2 DiD motor - shite or alright?
I just bought one of these with 240k on the clock and the engine feels fantastic compared to some of the older Pajeros I owned. Had a problem with smoke coming out of the back after a week, so took it back to the dealer and Diesel and Turbo looked at it. Turbo wastegate was seized, EGR was stuck in ...

Ive seen a couple of these bars mentioned in mods people have made to their trucks in Aus. Comments were basically the same as above, poor mounting a some movement. Guess they are cheap though as I have been looking at one for my NM Pajero.

Re: Rear bar for 1989 Pajero
Hey Taz I take your point but I am out in Upper Hutt and work as well so its tricky to get out there within those timeframes.
Really just after a rough estimate and if it sounds good I would arrange to bring it in and have it done, and transport back out to Upper Hutt.
Cheers

Hi all
Any recommendations on someone who can create me a simple rear bar for my Pajero in Wellington, prefer Hutt Valley?
Something similar to the one in this auction:

Re: Pajero SWB vs Bighorn SWB
Hey mate, when through this process a few years ago. In my honest opinion, go the Pajero. I dont have anything against Bighorns personally except for one thing - they feel incredibly heavy and like driving a bus, both onroad and offroad. I have had a few Pajeros and always found them to be quite cap...

Anyone know the regulations relating to have an A framed 4wd?
Specifically interested in whether the A framed vehicle has to be registered and/or warranted.

Hi all
Did the odlins road track last weekend. No issues getting to the summit/turnaround. Looks like the slip might have been cleared.
Still a damn fun track for a day out

Bridgestone Desert Duellers - great wearing and still relatively capable. Owned two sets on two different trucks and they are a great compromise. Pid $185 per tyre at Tony's in 31" size.

The only thing I will say positively about that guy is he isnt scared to give his jeep some stick. He makes entertaining videos even if he does come across as a wally. He does need to learn some proper safety techniques though, has a tendency to panic which is never good especially where he gets bog...

you sure you don't want to shop around and find one thats not rusty? Depends how bad it is i guess but rust is like cancer...

Have you thought about some Bridgestone Desert Duellers (not standard Dueller AT's)? I bought a set from Tonys last year for my Surf, fitted and balanced for I think $205 fitted and balanced per tyre. They get pretty good reviews worldwide and have a great tread pattern for the occasional offroad ex...

Re: Law regarding front spotlights
Heya, probably repeating what everyone else has said but heres my take after reading up on it and putting some on my truck: 1. You are allowed 4 driving lights on your vehicle (including the two headlights) so that allows for two spotlights. Weird considering the number of trucks with roof lights as...

Bridgestone Dueler MT/Rs on the truck and a set of nite stalker spotlights. Remaining Mods: 12v Socket in the back of the truck and a light for night fishing. Possibly mount the portable air compressor (with wiring to the battery) in the back for ease of use. Winch if I can get a compatible bullbar ...
