Re: Trouble with tie-rod ends

Just take the spacer out, too dangerous in my opinion. I've flipped mine and taken the droop stops out completely, just a piece of mountain bike tyre tread to stop the "clang" and I've had no problems.

Re: Class 2 Pajero

Yup, got all the rules and stuff, its more the practical stuff now. Never built cages and such. Once I have the cage sorted the rest I can sort. I looked at buying that truck you've got, would've been a lot easier for me I'm sure..

Re: Class 2 Pajero

Yeah, taking it off the road Calvin so I can play and modify without worry of offending the authorities. Trying to save as much dosh as I can myself but being a builder by trade I have some clues but the metal working skills aint the best. Might have to spend a bit on the cage though, safety first!!

Class 2 Pajero

Righto, wanna try something new. I wanna go fast and do some sweet jumps! :D

First thing I need is a 6 point cage. Anyone able to help me out or point me in the right direction?

Cheers, Matt

The 3.0l is pretty bullet proof, expect a bit of smoke every now and again but thats normal. Never had a problem with mine and I love to Rev it!!!!

Re: best 4wd

Right, now that Landy has gone let the good advice flow! A LWB 3.0 V6 Pajero would be an option and the advice from Landy was wrong. The 3.0 is a non interference engine so if you blow a head gasket and heat it up or throw or break a timing belt you wont stuff the entire engine.

Re: Starter Removal from a Pajero 2800 Manual!

3.0 are a bit fiddly also, you just need a few extensions and a flexi bit thing on the socket and a bit of patients......easy!

Biggest bit is the cage, lots to do. I'm gonna set it up for class 2 and have a go at a season for sure.

Yup, use the factory one, its pleanty strong enough. And you can also cut the tie down point off the other side and bolt on another in its place.

Same thing, you only need to reindex when you have run out of adjustment. Just wind them up, no worries!
