Re: 2000 Pajero did 3.2l gls 250km yay or ney

My company vehicle is a 3.2 DID Triton ute, so very similar to a Paj.

It has done 290,000 and still drives really well & pulls like a schoolboy.

Apparently the fuel pumps are moon money, so $4k could be right!

I would buy one for myself :)

Re: 3.2 DiD motor - shite or alright?

My 2007 3.2 Triton is just about to hit 290,000 km. So far I have replaced - filters and oil. I have had the intake manifold de-coked, blanked off the egr and cut out the dpf filter. Only did the egr and dpf jobs last week as a preventative measure. I regularly tow 3+ tonnes, done the taupo road twi...

Maybe this has already been covered in another thread, but....... Does disconnecting or changing the resistor on the line pressure make the auto any less of an 'auto'? I would like to improve the shift on my safari, but the mod that I have been shown is wiring in a switch to lock up the torque conve...

When body lifting these GQ's, does anyone fit blocks to the rubber mounts that sit on the cross member, under the boot floor?

if not, is this why rear body mounts break?

Re: Holley or Q'jet?

I had a Holley on my 350 hilux and it was pants. High fuel consumption, kept bogging and stalling on hills and sidlings. Got an off road 'kit' put in it, a whistle kit or something I think it was called. It was still hopeless. Every trip out required constant 'tuning'. A mate had an 'off-road avenge...

Re: Aftermarket Chips for Amaroks

If you remap the ecu you will invalidate your drivetrain warranty, the 'piggy back' ones are preferred if you don't want to risk it.
I have forgotten the name of the chip setup that alters the signals from the throttle pedal.
A couple of my customers bought them and were really impressed.

Re: Front springs or spring spacers

Go springs. V6 front coils give about 2" and I found them fine in my 5 door 1.6, but a touch stiff in the 3 door. Flip the top shock mount to get a bit extra out of your front shocks and get some camber bolts fitted. Easy to do (I only have 1 arm and have done them myself) My 2c :D I used to lo...
