I have had it happen to me 4 times this year on my 2lt-E's alt :D.... i now keep a spare working alternator at home because of it. picked it up cheap off trademe! as others have said its normally just shit getting in between your brushes so they do not contact properly, if you been down to the waima...

mine gets oily in there too, it gets sucked up from the breather that goes from that intake pipe to the rocker cover

not a big deal i don't believe? as smurf said an oil catch can should fix the problem.

yep up past the motorbike tracks keep going up the road, T intersection at the end of it right is stock bank left is river access go river way and follow the tree line up you will find the play area, this mud/silt isn't great for your truck you wanna wash it off at the end of the day don't let it dr...

haha yea its a weapon alright! just finished it as a project first proper day in the mud, lexus 8, 35" trepotors, handy to have round if you need a tow out :mrgreen: i think hes on these forums somewhere

Haha yea i don't think my 31" AT's would cope to well with snow! am going to wait until i get some 33" muds and some bash guards then have a proper shot at getting to the top, hopefully its wet next time! :D . I think its a good learning track as long as you take your time and are not stup...

went up for a look at Worsleys track today for the first time, had my pretty stock surf and a mates Isuzu Mu standard apart from 31 muds, was a beaut of a night! did pretty well for our first time defiantly the most challenging track I've been on so far! :lol: was really dry up there so the trickies...

I had trouble feeding the wire through mine too, i ended up tearing the flares a bit because i was forcing the wire through to much. Ended up installing them with a couple of screws first and getting the right cutout shape then taking them back off, squirt some wd40 down both ends of the flares and ...

sik thats muddy as haha... :shock:. Mud tyres/new rims suspension lift rear bumper taken off with rated tow hooks a front bull bar, and you'll be set!
