11 l per 100 around town and 12 on the open rd? It uses less round town or is that a typo?
How has your maintenance bills been? And reliability? How Do you reckon an hdt engined 80 would perform compared to a nissan safari turbo?

Just to confuse the issue, If its the r50 terrano and a 3.2 diesel auto they have a switch on the dash that you can flick to the lock position which locks the center diff, or or some other setting, ("auto" i think it is called) where it is ok to use it in 4wd on the road. The car senses th...

Wanted, Nissan Patrol/Safari .4.2
Hi, Getting sick of looking for a Safari/Patrol and having no wheels in the meantime so I am going to buy any cheap looking thing I can find and sit and wait till a decent Patrol / safari or VX comes up rather than buy out of impatience. In the meantime if anyone hears of a decent one for sale I'm a...

Re: Opinions wanted - Nissan Patrols for sale.
In hindsight I would not buy a safari with a body lift, it stresses out the body mounts. Three of mine are currently stuffed requiring fixing and I haved fixed some before. Pulling to the left could also be to do with the brakes. Talk him down a grand. The gear box spacers can be made up out of ste...

Pedro, I did entertain the idea of having two vehicles at one stage but seriously I cant justify or really afford it and to be honest I dont think i really need it, One suitable one that ticks all the boxes will do. isuzu bighorn 3.1 3dr. Irmscher for sale 1992
I bought it on impulse over the weekend.. drove it down from Auckland to chch and realise now that I quite like bighorns, but the three door models are just way too small for me. It seems pretty tidy apart from a small scrape on the right front guard and drives OK apart from wanting an exhaust gaske...

Re: What are your thoughts on this?
It seems even if you take precautions and get one that looks good it can still crap out on you.. 2.4 or 3.0 litre. I think i read a post from hosesmuggler or someone on here saying he spent 10 grand putting in a secondhand low milage 3.0 engine. If I get a 2.5 grand 2.4litre surf it at least leaves...
