Just noticed the LH boot has hydraulic fluid coming out of it, after needing to top up the power steering reservoir, the end seal must be failing, anyone replaced the seals themselves or is there a suppy of recond steering racks?

Re: Cracked head chinese or gen
I worked through the issue of which head to fit months ago. The only two options are Genuine toyota or AMC (spanish) I spoke to a bloke at a workshop here in chch who had worked for a large car parts supplier, and the "branded" chinese heads supplied had a unacceptable failure rate. There are plenty ...

Got old radiator from my 1996 prado, didn't overheat or leak, but is 323k old, as well as 20 years old.
Is on TM for $50, but if someone wants it for a spare, or to tide them over swap for a dozen beers
PM me for details, I'm in Christchurch

I removed the little gauze filter from the banjo fitting on top of the injector pump, (after removing the P/S mount bolts and swinging to one side), only to find it was black an you couldn't see through it. Cleaned it, which took a little bit of time and once it was clean, put it back, and reused ...

Ran my terrano out of diesel, (could be coincidence) a few days later a sound just like a blocked injector started, and symptoms like a blocked injector, rough top end, blowing smoke when rough. I used the primer (on top of fuel filter) to get fuel back into the injector pump. Didn't notice any bad ...
