Re: TD42 Rocker shaft and rockers

A new rocker shaft used to be $170 from Nissan which I bought, I then had the screw adjusters refaced and the rockers machined and bushed, can't remember all up cost but it wasn't to bad.

All as above plus, is it the right thermostat? Should be a bypass one with a valve on the bottom.

You don't need to alter the screw much at all, be carefull, try 1/8 of a turn at a time, and remember, winding it IN gives more fuel.

Re: Terrano Auto TCU Location

It's in the right rear panel, or the left rear, can't remember which :-), just above the rear wheel arch, remove the rear trim and you will find it, depending on model there may be up to 3 boxes in there, it should be the one furthest towards the front of the truck

SWB or LWB? for a two inch lift you shouldn't need to change the arms, for a SWB you may have to drop the rear gearbox mount using spacers, for a LWB you shouldn't have to do anything.

33's on a Terrano

Has anyone run 33's on a Terrano? Do they fit? Reason is I have a set of 32" Simexes for sale, which really measure just over 33", and a possible buyer wants to put them on a Terrano.

2.5" for NA and 3" for Turbo. Bro-in-Law has a 3" system on his NA and it is a dog, drones no matter what you do muffler wise and has way less grunt because of it.

Check all the calipers for a missing brake pad :-) I've seen it happen on them before, especially the rear ones when the pads get worn down.

TD42 Turbo Kits

What is the recommended, in peoples opinions, best turbo kit for a GQ? I'm not after all out power but low down torque is more important. Bushed or roller bearing turbo? Keep in mind I'm after a complete bolt on kit, AXT, Denco etc.

Cheers, Jeff.

You'd need a bit more than a Warn Hi-Mount to winch some of these buggers out if they got stuck.

Found it, hmm, I think you'll find though that the seller is confused, I'll bet it's a SD33 seeing as the vehicle is 1986.
