My brother is looking for a couple of old Wrangler MTRs in any warrantable state. Just needs to get a WOF so he can sell his truck. Anybody have any old ones floating around? 31/10.5R15
Failing that, what about a full set of worn ATs or MTRs for cheap?
Cheers,
Mark

I'll bring it to Mike's attention in the next couple of days. I'm sure he can arrange something.

OK, that's enough thread jacking. I really do not want to get into 'moderator mode' again. I have better things to do. But while Mike is away for the next 2 weeks I'm going to request that all of you simply don't respond to any of this. It IS possible to ignore posts... you just turn your brain on a...

Any spare seats available? Re: Masterton to MartinBorough - River Trip - Sat 19th
My 5yr old heard about it tonight. He's now coming with me too ;) I didn't think that he would after the last river trip that he did... standing on the seat to avoid the rising water! As far as the diffs go, you should be ok. Think of it as a test trip... if at the end of the trip you have water in ...

Re: WANTED URGENT: 80 series snorkle for Skid
Cheers dude, but unfortunately its still known as Marks River, coz we both have the same first name and you did it first. Bugger, I forgot that small detail! As part of my experience, I would recommend whipping the starter motor off and pulling it apart to check it's not full of water before attemp...

Re: WANTED URGENT: 80 series snorkle for Skid
Oh man, I'm sorry to hear about that Skid. It now seems that I had a lucky (cheap) escape from Mark's river compared to you. Now it will at least be known as Skid's river ;) I got a text yesterday saying "Skid just did a 'Mark' in RW River". My first response was "Awesome!". Then...

Re: Stuffed brakes
Thanks for the comments and ideas guys. I set to and pulled the two front callipers off today and instantly discovered a significant part of the problem. As I pulled the disc pads out half of the pad bit fell off on most of them and they were so shiny smooth that there was no way in hell that they'd...

Stuffed brakes
So... I took the Whale ('94 Safari LWB) in to get a WOF after sitting around with stuffed brakes for a few months and they failed it on the effectiveness of the brakes. They reckon they are only working at 38% and the brake pedal is a bit spongy. It will lock up one of the rear wheels when you jump ...

what sort of performance are you guys getting from this winch in terms of duration from your batteries I've done heaps of reasonably long winches with mine (on the Safari (yes, 12v) and have never had a problem with it running out of juice or putting any obvious strain on the electrical system. I d...

Re: mikes just entered the taupo 1000!!!!!!
Mike and I used the Landy in it's original form to do the Undie 500 (Canterbury Uni trip where you have to get a vehicle for under $500 and drive it to Dunedin, stopping at as many pubs as you can on the way) in about 1998 or 1999. Therefore, for nostalgic reasons I think we should refer to this eve...

Re: Who runs a TB42?
Reasonably good in terms of power, but not efficient at all. I wouldn't own one as a daily driver that's for sure. I get about 300-350kms out of a tank, which is about $120/130 to fill at the mo (never worked out what it is in litres  ) In terms of power, I lined mine up with PR's TD42 turbo o...

He won't be doing any driving or passengering before the event... ie, while they are setting up. Therefore he won't have an unfair advantage during the event.
