Re: I want to put a solid front suspension in my 1990 vitara

I put a v6 diff in my escudo just had to change the crownwheel and pinion so
the ratio was still the same. I found i was snapping the short side spine off in the diff and as soon as i put the new diff in no issues ever again even with 32" simexs and welded front diff.

Geez i wish i didn't live in Tauranga i put a 50mm bodylift in and theres only one guy that will give me a wof but he wont give me a wof because i cant put my back bumper on due to the spare tyre been so big. but heaps of other places will give me a wof if it didnt have the bodylift. :x

Re: Power for winch

you can fit dual batteries in escudos i have dual batteries in mine. you just get a battery tray from a later escudo which has the big brake booster. Im not sure if all escudos have them but mine had the holes in the right place and the just bolts straight in.

Im lucky a mate has one of the motors the same as mine all in bits and he just gave it to me for free but i had to buy a new head gasket and inlet manifold gasket but the major expense is having to pay for the gas in my mates thirsty ute that im borrowing.
