hi nigelb, i have had a similar problem, solonoids went etc but winch was dead. pulled it apart and turned out to be a brake in the brushes circut where it exited the body to one of the terminals.... best bet would be to pull it apart and have a nosey.... youd save some money not taking it to someon...

no prob petermcc , will hunt some down.

chassis work was just docking it back, then just had to grind the box back to a halfmoon under the door to allow the natural swing of the tailgate. will post you a couple of pics...

indeed its the path im gonna take i reacon. canopy off ---- 15minutes . bout that in bolts too i think.. spent a bit of time marking the lines etc but the cutting wasnt long :twisted: - maybe half a day for that then another half day or so moving body mounts, cutting chassis and welding the seam <--...

no idea on cert issues... would be intrested to find out a definite answer canopy is a hot topic at moment, was gonna shorten the side windows at the front.. just about enough to lose one of those sliders alltogether but not quite.. but after having no canopy on for a while its really starting to gr...

hey i know of one in queenstown... 410 i think..
rough in the body, rust in the floor etc but has the twin carby toyota engine swap,
2 sets of tyres and rims, wee elecky winch and some recovery gear etc

The guy I bought the truck off said the air-con did'nt work and that it needed re-gassing. Any advice would be great


sounds about the same condition as mine used to be..... empty.
id gamble that youd undo the hoses and no eyeball freeze up :lol:

do you need a super radiator tony was planning on using this one but its slightly bent.... if ya know of one round im sure he would be keen, thats not much abuse of a trailer i always find it amusing people coming out of placemakers or something like that with a small single axle trailer loaded up ...

just a bruise on the inside of my right arm... and on my hip from the middle console... motor and bellhousing are sweet, so is everything else he wanted out of it except radiator.. so thats cool better that it happend up there with just me in the car than on the way to chch with a full car and oncom...

just brought a 94 3.0v6 for a friend, $1500 whole car, he crashed his into a cattle stop going up the skifield :roll: so if you still wanna pursue this he has two engines.........
