Re: Egr on post 95 efi 3.1td
My understanding is that butterfly is not present in the efi models.
There's a port in the intercooler that feeds a vacuum signal to the mechanical pump on non efi models, in the housing where that butterfly is, in the efi models that port is plugged from factory

Egr on post 95 efi 3.1td
Thought I'd share this here as it's such a common topic and I know I struggled to get definate answers.. Problem is with this sort of thing is you get people giving you an answer based on what they have heard or read not based on personal experience.. So if you are contimplating doing the egr remova...

Re: Oil catch can question
Just an update for future reference 96 bighorn 3.1 efi diesel Intake all professionally cleaned, egr deleted and catch can fitted. Finished today and went for a blat. Now I wasn't expecting anything specific as far as power gains go as it's a mint low k truck and drives wl anyway, very responsive an...

Re: Oil catch can question
Using 5/8 hose. But my drain line is only 3/8. I'm still unsure if I should have a return straight back to sump or a return to a separate can or tank that's easily removed and abled to be emptied back into crank case.. just unsure if I'll be adding unwanted pressure to sump

Re: Oil catch can question
Cheers Chris. I've just gone and bought a can that has an internal filter, a special pressure relief cap if for some reason pressure is increased also. The pighorn has a factory return anyway, but my thinking is, now I am going to return back to intake now I have a can with internal filter, this sho...

Sounds good.
I work in the hydraulics industry, can I buy an inline 1 way Valve to fit inline with the return hose?

Re: Oil catch can question
Thanks tweake. Can't say I thought of the one way valve but I'm not sure it's entirely a must??? What are your reasons for that. So I am doing egr blank off aswell. I'm thinking I'm going to try and see how it goes by having drain back to sump into the factory return, these already have a return on ...

Re: Oil catch can question
Cheers mate. These do feed back into the intake but they have an internal replaceable filter so that's where they claim to only put clean air back into the intake. They are on TradeMe for $130

Oil catch can question
Just cleaned intake and doing egr and catch can.. Why do I need a feed back to intake? Why can't I just have line from rocker cover to catch can, have an oil return line at the bottom of the tank and plug the outlet of the catch can, but the catch can has a breather with filter so that releases the ...

Re: Problems With Manual Conversion LN130 91 2l-te Surf.
Pretty sure I came into issues with 4x4 system being a prick to get working again, from the auto setup to the manual setup, just wiring was way different, and the surfs with their add system requires the wiring to be right

Re: What's involved in drilling perches to move front diff?
As said above. That's a huge lift. You have obviously spent a bit of cash on your after market gear so probably don't want to hear what I'm gona say.. Hiluxs don't need 35s generally but if you wish to fit 35s there's only one way to do it and that's doing the rears up front conversion... I've run a...

Re: R50 31x10.5 MT tyres
In short mate your good to go.
I'm sure if you did some technical calcs you may see a change in fuel usage, but r50s suck a bit of fuel anyway. I've run 31" muds on a r50 no worries. Wof will be fine.
Buy the 31s and buy some manual locking hubs which will help with fuel use

That's a big part why I stopped coming here, they were taking over, the answer to everything was, just buy a Terrano and you will conquer the mightiest hill

Basically I'm struggling to find a non molestered manual suv under $7500.
This appeals to me cause of its history, size, and price.
