Boss has one at work. Drives nicely 4x2 ute. Once the turbo kicks in theres plenty of power. Only driven it a few times and i couldnt fault it.

hey, my windom did a simular noise, turns out to be the exhaust heat shield. the one at the back of the motor is a pain to get to but that was the culprit for me.

For a shot make sure they both bolted on tight and not rubbing etc.

agreed fair enough!. surely she noticed all the cars behind her or doesnt she know how to check her mirrors? Trucks see heaps of cars behind them they pull over when they can so why not her!. :lol:

Have run a few different brand of headunits now, Overall i agree with some of the above def pioneer!!. Jb hi fi have some great prices sometimes!. example speakers brought from super cheap $70 went to buy a new gps at jb hi fi and seen the same speakers for $40 ( yeap gutted as!!).

Shot up to Pick a part and picked up some random stuff Vacuum lines, Washer bottle cap ( grabbed the wrong one too big lol) Another gear knob and some bonnet rubber things. I just put all new bearings a seals in a customers 60 series 5 speed for less than $500 Hmm thats pretty good! I guess the more $ part is removing the gearbox etc. Yea the labour cost of removing, repairing and replacing Is more than the $500 for parts. Gotcha just as i thought :p. Gonna pop down t...

Wait so if you put the clutch in the noise pretty much goes away? I'd be looking at the input bearings in the gearbox, the 60 series box in my truck made loads of noise with worn input bearings Give your mate a slap next time ya see him :lol: even off the gears were worn it's easy enough to get goo...

It's a factory cable locker, yes? Spend a little more extra an get new bearings put in the diff head :roll: :O A mate reckons a waste of time redoing all the bearings etc as the teeth etc could be worn out, But to be honest that was my initial plan. Found another one on trademe which is local so might pickup that one.
Heh as much as i would just swap it, It will be re used later on ( rebuild bla bla etc) for now itl be a shelf ornament :)
