Are the holes in the centre of the drum itself or in the side flanges?.
I'm pretty sure mine doesn't have any holes in it centre of drum.

Can't help you either way mate, once upon a time this forum used to go off every night, that's the result of social media I guess.

Keep using a banjo filter, they are there for a reason.
A good diesel pump workshop should have them in stock.

Safari GQ broken PTO drum
Guess it had to happen one day...took a fair few years though. I can get an oem drum to replace it but I may as well look at getting an extended larger drum made for it. Would appreciate knowing what others have done including preventative measures to stop the wire going over the side of the drum AG...

Now that's another thing to look at. Alloy flywheel what'd it set you back? Have had billet 3.8 ones made at about $550. Not sure I'd want to carve the meat out of a standard one but could be worth looking at. Sorry slidenyo...only just noticed this. Wasn't cheap, $1000 Aussie dollars but machined ...

Yep, we had to use that method when we couldn't pull out formwork pegs recently....used the work van to pull them out which did work! BUT I had to put a line on the peg before my mate put his foot on the go fast pedal to stop the peg heading for the van at warp drive 10. I had to stop the peg in mid...

Have just been through this as my old HD clutch just died after 7yrs. I Have had a Clutch Industries previously and it was fine. I emailed with Trundle about a clutch and they recommended the 4terrain plus or something. They had a special with them a couple of months ago and they were $650 I think. ...

Is this on a Safari pto?. I stripped mine a few years ago, hub came off ok but took time to separate the drum from the shaft. Cleaned & reassembled it with white lithium grease on the shaft.....to this day it still freespools perfectly.

Re: Angrier td42t build
There's a lot of instances of crank failure now in Aust, all determined to be harmonic issues when you've got big power. But some of the failures they have had have occurred during normal driving. Billet cranks seem to be the go but not cheap. I've just put a new clutch in so I changed the flywheel ...

Club did a farm trip late last year, majority on 35" silverstones one on 37 Treps. V8 so plenty of power but no traction on a typical wet, muddy farm, huge difference. Wouldn't buy treps for NZ conditions. I'm the opposite mate, my Treps are 37's and I use them mostly on the West Coast. Them an...

Had my Treps for approx 3yrs now and I LOVE them, they are the comp spec type.
Just have to be ready for them to grab because when they do (fronts) you're off in that direction.

I've had no issues with steering or anything, I gusseted, shaved the diff and reconditioned the front calipers before putting it in, did it in a weekend. Then went out on the beach and drove in 4wd doing figure 8's and plenty of turns to make sure everything was good. Then put it through for a wheel...

Re: Y61 front axle into Y60?
Y61 calipers won't bolt to a Y60 diff, bolt spacings are different. TB42E twin pot calipers will fit and work extremely well, I had them on mine.....like hens teeth to find though!. Y61 diff will bolt straight in, approx 40mm wider overall. I did this conversion to my GQ 12mths ago. Try and get the ...
