Its been a while,but heres some updates of things ive been pluckin away at for the last couple of months on the truck. Air intake all finished off now,im running a HKS 3 stage foam filter on the end of a gutted std air box which is housing the air flow meter(cant afford a link g4 yet to be rid of it...

Sympathise with ya Steve It is indeed a hard thankless task running an event. To be honest it seems the sport is in decline so you may not have got the attendance you would like anyway. Had a mean weekend,first round of the national trials series and my first event being co driver,all was going well till the the steering box decided to rip it self off the chassis of the big bad lada,bring on round 2

I thought it could only go on one way :? im pretty sure I put the plug unit on the say way as the one I took off. It may not be earthed properly or something as it was slightly different. Are the terminals on the new alternator and the old one the same configeration(+ & - ),if they are the wrong way round the alternator will run on full power thinkin the battery is flat,that will cause screechin through belt slip Im not too sure dude, iv never had to touch an alternator before t...

Well had a wiked day sunday at the Peter Howell memorial offroad race,first up we had time trials to determine grid placement for the first enduro,i was fair shittin myself on the start line thinking i have never drivin this truck before i dont know what it handles like,will the engine hold together...

Well she is all go ,the sparky is finished.But on her maiden skid up the road it sounded like a old massey fergusen tractor,under closer inspection i found 3 snapped exhaust manifold studs on one side and 1 on the other :evil: so out comes the bloody motor.got them all fixed,then realisied the manif...
