Re: relay that when power is applied stays on till power cut

When you say you want the relay to stay on until the main power drops.. do you mean drop below a certain point? or drop out completely? What is the relay going to run? My first thought is put a little bistable circuit on the input to the relay but that will only hold the relay on for a fixed amount ...

Your grounding strap is just as important as the positive. if you are going 70mm positive then you need 70mm to the body too.

if people get themselves in to a situation where just a slow pull isnt going to get them unstuck and they have to be snatched then I would hope they had good idea on what rope to use and they would get their SNATCH strap out and not their tow rope. This is obviously a tow rope.

Re: Tomsoffroad Cruiser Tidy up

the spring rate is how hard it is to compress a coil or bend a leaf right? So therefore the spring rate has doubled. Its like getting a short stick and trying to snap it compared to getting a long one and trying to snap that. Its harder to break the short one. So by making the spring shorter it is h...

The way i figure 80% of my welding will be with thin walled tube up to 10mm plate. The rest might be heavier stuff (12mm brackets for a 4-link etc...). So the duty cycle rates they quote suits me perfectly. I dont expect the torch to be anything special but when you look at a 250A mig with inverter ...
