nope don't need paddles at all ( although they do help ) have done this on my old yfz 450 so the raptor should do it .. just be aware the raptor has a higher center of gravity and is not as wide as what my 450 would have been .. but pretty much as the guys have already stated .. keep it tapped even ...

id say as well as getting a new fan jerry take it out and send it up to the radiator place behind h2o extreme in upper hut .. they do a fantastic job and very cheap in comparison .. have a talk to him re the fan set up as well very talented guy and even if it means he will loose the work he WILL poi...
