Cheers Mate! Good info. Will get a price on one today. The puck clutch isn't too grabby on engagement? Clint A little, but nothing to worry about, you can still ride it a bit, just takes a run to get used to it  I was a little worried about the issue, having only a little 4 banger, but rea...

Looks great Clint, clutchwise, I replaced my stock one with an Exedy 5 puck copper thingy and it's great, barely notice the extra clamp force at the pedal, but it works perfectly, no letting go at all.

Re: How does snach blocks / pullyes work
get some small cheap pulleys and try it. put one pulley on a branch with rope through it and down to a, say 20kg weight, see how hard it is to lift pulling down on rope. then add a pulley on the weight and put rope through that and end of rope tied to branch next to top pulley, heaps easier. then a...

Re: An Un-named Outlaw...
If asuming you use the 100a at 48v and not using any lose due to converting that equals 4800w. That converys to 6.4hp. Average v belt output is less than 4.5hp. That then converts to twin belt similar to a p.s. unit working full time. Will need an up idle whilst charging due to power requirements w...

Re: Jalopy V2.0
Hi Jaffa. Good to see V2 and it looks good. I know with the offroaders a rear engine works well so I can't see why it wouldn't work in V2. With the V8 the hilux diffs mightn't be strong enough with the extra traction on the rear wheels because of the extra weight. Looking forward to the finished pr...

Re: Installating an Air Locker in the front of an Escudo
Its pretty easy, as Churchill said, you dont mess with the pinion at all, just measure the backlash before you remove the carrier from the pumpkin, put the crown wheel onto your locker, then bolt it back in, and duplicate your backlash (assuming its within spec) Here is a link to the ARB instruction...
