Yeah I agree I thought the ring and pinion would have gone first, its not done too bad though, its had 4 years of absolute abuse with a v8 infront of it and 35in silverstones

TWL have 30000lb ones for $90+gst and theyre made in usa,id buy one through them. i only said winch really as a highly reccommended,and snorkel as some of the bog holes are bonnet deep in water,all depends how much rain and the river level over the previous week,and well trunk protector,most people have one or two on a trip so not mandatory

well said,my lux gets 6.5km/l on a good day,but is v8 and on 35s,and manual,fuel economy is only something you read about in AA magazines

I had one made by MS Coombes enginering in chch,had a 24mm shaft made of some very high grade steel,they even put a grease nipple in it for me,never had the problem again,cost me $270incl
