Id be keen on having alook at smiths clearing, myself and afew others will be heading over on the Thursday and basing ourselves in Westport. We were looking at doing tailings, denniston and maybe having alook around seddonville if time allows.

Its a wicked track alright pete, We race there twice a year. The national atv mx champs are always held there. You should try get out to the new amberly track at some stage also its a brand new track even better than the backflips track.

Ive got an electric free spool on my electric winch in my 100 series, I bought the parts for $300 and took 5 mins to install, Awesome mod and works real good.

His brackets only fit a fully floater but that doesn't mean you cant get brackets for semi floater also. Plenty of disc conversions have been fitted to semi floaters using similar parts.

The rotor that goes with that early backing plate is a 13mm solid rotor and they came out 79-88 hilux then changed to the later 20mm vented rotor after 88. They are 80-84 FJ40 housings, fully floater in the rear use to have handbrake on the diff but has been removed. Front diff has been converted to disc brakes using early hilux gear. Not a factory troopy this is a converted FJ45, these were built for the NZ foresty with that body on them. They look quite different to a troopy but still that's a nice looking truck.

There are different thickness thrust bearings and carriers for them, also different pressure plates. I wouldn't think it would be a master or slave cylinder issue if you can see the slave rod moving its normal amount of travel.

Tailings track is not passable at the moment has heaps of trees down. Will need afew big saws to clear the track.
