Re: Swivel Ball fluid/seals

you can replace the swivel oil with lr won shot which comes in a sachet ,used to be about $40 per side , just a thin grease . or just fill with plain grease . The whole seal job is not hard just heavy work and you need a proper 1/2 inch socket set . A good gasket eliminater will replace the cheap ga...

Just picked up on your thread I had had same problem with my 96 evinrude and my mech said it is normal because cowling is to small and fuel evaporates with latent engine heat . So I just reprimed when ready to restart and no more problems .I also changed from caltex to shell and engine would start a...

Re: Replace Disco bighorns with BFG for better tracking...?

Good to hear the swivel preload helped I learnt that trick when I changed from manual box to a power box just before driving to gisborne on my old 110 . The most exhausting trip ever due to all the bump steering because swivels were still set up loose as to make old manual steering lighter , still p...

Before you put new tank add some 10mm spacers between tank and guard on the bolts that way you can wash all the crud out which causes the corrosion on the tank base and maybe another coat of paint . the truck is looking real flash cheers

Re: Replace Disco bighorns with BFG for better tracking...?

Limited slip center diff

Decided to change transfer gears in my 110 as it had the 1.333 gears in it and was no good on road so I stripped a spare rr lt95 box I had for the higher gears only to discover it had the early limited slip diff which means different lower output gear to my center diff spline . It is bit to hard for...
