lol, well true, i dont think the missus would agree when its time to upgrade either   Hell, I told her the day we got married, as soon as she hits 36, I'm trading her for 2 x 18 year olds... But thinking about it, I'm a bit older, and the way 18 year olds are now, I dunno that I...

Re: Terrano brakes

Well I bit the bullet, swallowed some pride and went to a brake place, he's confident its not the master cylinder or booster, he reckons its a lack of vacuum... so the great hunt for a vacuum leak begins.

Shit I hate cars sometimes...

Terrano brakes

Right, well after putting it off for a while, I finally replaced the rear pads and shoes on the terrano. It all went pretty straightforward, but now I seem to have pissed off the gremlins... when I hit the brake pedal, my handbrake light flicks on, and the pedal gets a bit spongy. I don't want to th...

Seems I can send PMs, but cannot receive them - I have between 0 and a handful in my inbox, so I don't think storage is an issue?

Trying to catch up with some bods - help?

Injector servicing

Long story short, I'm keeping the Terrano, and have some money to spend on it. I have a few jobs that need doing, and I think at the top of the list, especially having suffered from the dreaded diesel bug last year, that getting the injectors serviced/replaces is probably a wise move. Which leads me...

Alas - it's so man... The Camry has already usurped the parking space... Gonna be a pain in the arse to sell though, don't want it going to some muppet who thinks it's a commuter - it's not! This thing is far happier in the mud and bush than on the motorway... so I'm hoping (once I get off my fat ar...

Well, approx. $260 later... Re: TD27 with ... the sickness!

So you have removed the gauze filter in the pump ay? That may now be the issue or the new(ish) filter is partially blocked. If any crap (even microscopic) gets into the pump it can cause this too. Forget what you have done in the past and start again. Think I'm half way to a box of beers  ...

I have an embarassing confession.

I have owned my Terrano for just over 3 months, and it has still to be made dirty under my ownership. It's seen sand for about 10 minutes (and had a heavy bath straight afterwards) and been along beautifully groomed metal tracks through forestry areas, but hasn't been properly dirty. Which means yes...

IT LIVES! Well, pretty much - it seems that after persistence and prayer the old girl has finished sulking. I put the gears back in the tank, but not before picking out some sizeable pebbles and crap, started it up, and it ran like a dream. Being a sucker for punishment (and knowing a mate of mine ...
