Re: What is this squishy foam?
I noticed the same thing on mine when doing cambelt in weekend.
It is definitely some sort of foam put there for some reason I don't know why it's there but I thought it was something nasty happening at first too.
For both of us to have it guessing it's there from factory.

Re: KZN185 driveline clunk on and off the gas.
Hi All 99 surf in v good condition with 220Kkm on the clock. Always been well serviced by me. So in normal driving (in 2wd), there is the usual amount of slight slack in the drivetrain between throttle on and off as you would expect. Now, when in 4wd (4wd button pushed in, Central diff lock not yet...

the 95 series prado arb bumper fits the 185. just the corners have a little gap as front of surf has a rounder park light compared to prado.

Re: What do I stand to gain?...
You will prob find that a surf will not be much bigger than a terrano for load capacity. a slightly bigger option than a surf would be a prado or a pajero as the cargo area has more height to them, may just need to get rid of the 3rd row of seats

Re: 1994 Pathfinder Build
alot of nissan ecus can have chips fitted and then tuned. talk to a local dyno tuner near you and they should be able to help you. alot of silvia and skyline guys get it done and can suit high horsepower - will be alot cheaper than an new ecu.
