Re: 100 series wiring question
Yeah same setup as a 80 series 24v start
Drivers side battery is the norm from what I've read for hooking up acc.
But voltage at the other battery is 12v as well think there a soleniod wired in on passenger battery that draws 24v to the starter

As mentioned check your gvm on car jam as no-one can tell you by just your model number. E.g My 80 series is 5 seater so has a higher gvm than a 8 seater 80 series I've had a cop stop me to check my towing weight on my 100 series and he went off the tow bar rating which was 3500kg brake so let me go...

With the mud collecting in the bars just clean it out when it builds up on the trail If not it can build up start pushing your panels in Another thing is your truck won't feel as agile, seat time will cure this and you'll get used to it. I wonder if the stock 80 series radius arms are longer than the prado ones
I've looked under a prado and the 80 series arms look more stronger built
Could be a cheap option.

When I was searching internet for ideas for radius arms on my wagon I did find a 80 series that had factory radius arms mounted upside down to the top of the diff, but that idea was to clear steering arms They way it was set up gave it good caster and it ended up moving diff forward slightly I ended ...

Do you want your truck road legal? have a talk to your certifier about it first.
I was thinking about custom arms when building my truck but certified wasn't really keen on the idea

Yeah I have sane issue with front diff locked and 37s on my cruiser
Unlocking front diff works for me have looked into upgrading to hydro assit but requires re certification and dollars which I'm not that keen on.

Re: 80 Series interior water leak... Go on Tu's, Laugh...
Has it got the slide rear windows?
When they get old and not cleaned where the window slides they start rusting and swelling inside window frame
Patrols do it too
My last 80 had a leaky rear slide window and would leak down into bottom of rear quater

After a single axle trailer around 7x4
Not to worried about condition as long as it's structurally sound, solid construction(probably not made in china) and not covered in rust
Will be a camper trailer project
Prefer pick up within couple hours of auckland
Cheers
