Re: R20 vs D21
Thanks guys. All about Patrol/cruisers here, I still like these. Mines a Terrano II, not mistral. Quite a few here, sold through Nissan for a few years, built in Spain. No ABS, Manual big box, intercooled. HB433 rear. Drum brakes tho. I asked about ratios as this r20 did about 115 at 3000rpm. and st...

R20 vs D21
Guys, just wondering: Are the fwd axles the same spline count? Are the diff ratios the same? I have a great '91 D21, and a damaged 1999 R20 (terrano II) manual, just 200KKms I'm thunking engine Gbox front diff, rear end - into my D21. Steering knuckles too if I MUST do. (D22 size?) Mech pump, Vac Al...

Rynolds River road, NT, Aust
From Katherine, north to Bachelor turn off, Litchfield Nat Park, then south along Reynolds river rd, can only be done in the dry season Jun - Aug, long dry parts, but a few crossing still get water over the bonnet. (missed those pics)

R20 won't start
Ok, so I'm saying R20 'cause mines a Terrano II not Mistral, same same... I've had this a few weeks, drove from Adelaide to Darwin then back to Katherine. Was going well. 3500+ Ks. Has done 189,000, supposedly. 3 days no use = flat battery...as expected, when someone sells/buys usually need a new ba...

Has anyone seen, a winch bar? apart from Crash custom one? New to these, but keeping my D21.......just in case ...

D21 Fuel Tank
Guys,
I have seen somewhere a 90L tank from a Patrol might fit in a D21. But not sure what model.
Has anyone done this? And if they hang a bit lower, but the wagon has a body lift, could the tank be mounted a little higher.
Cheers
ps: I tried searching

Mistral/Terrano II
G'day fellow Terrano supporters. I've had 4 D21s so far, my latest a Pathfinder (2.4 Petrol) now rather worn out, bashing about up here. So, do I buy a later D21, or go to the Mistral/Terrano II (R20?) I do like these 2 door D21s, they look real cool...  So, any Mistral gurus out ...

Re: Tire wear
Well, upper A arms bushes replaced, lower control arms seemed ok, and stuck solid anyway. TREs replaced, upper/lower ball joints both sides, not exactly sure upper A bushes are sitting right. So off for a wheel alignment at the local. (not pub) Explained the history and what I'd done, they said I sh...

Re: Help from anyone who has done the qd32 gearbox swap
Hmm...... it's the fork pivot pin inside the bellhousing I was talking about. Has a ball end, needs to be about 20mm longer, then the standard slave cylinder and push rod will work with the same travel. The longer pivot pin has the other end of the fork already close to the clutch. Good luck, have f...

Re: Help from anyone who has done the qd32 gearbox swap
Something about using the pivot pin from a manual R20 Terrano II R30a, the Mistral looking Terrano, but think only the Auto Mistrals are in NZ, Jap imports.
Or making one???
Did you use the V6 crossmember?

Re: Q32 Overheating
I started running cooler....odd here. Even with aircon on, now and then it would be down at about 1/4 rather than usual 1/2. Was a build up of crudd (higher resistance ?) in the connector to the temp sensor. Cleaned, lubed, sits around 1/2 all day now, no matter what Im doing. air on/off 4lo. So, do...

Hey, Surprising no-one has yet replied, perhaps all out getting dirty... The bellhousing might be different to the V6. Perhaps if you're getting it rebuilt, you could explain this to the workshop, give them both g/boxes and let them sort it out.... But surely there are enough stuffed Terranos over t...

I Pete, My pathfinder has this standard. The draglink has the attachment cast into it, and the other end has a post type of thing attached to near the steering idler. Maybe you could get these off a pathfinder or 4x4 Nav. (D21) I recently replaced the 23 y/old Nissan one with a Munroe. Feels the same...
