Re: The Gen 4 Paj
Hi, just wondering if you still have this Gen 4 Paj? I'm looking at getting one but hate those factory wheels. I like what you did with your wheel upgrade! Are those Triton alloys 17x7.5? Why do you need the 1.5mm spacers? Where is it hitting the calipers? The rim of the wheel or the spokes of the w...

3inch exhaust vibration at idle
Just needing some ideas on what I can explore about this problem. Toyota 100 series 1HD-FTE. Installed a 3inch xForce exhaust. Idles bit rough at 600-650 rpm. Exhaust is not touching any part of the chassis or anything. Have also checked engine mounts and they're still fine. At the moment I've turne...

Re: New 3" exhaust doesn't include dump pipe?
Yeap TradeMe xForce exhausts came with a dump pipe. Yeah I reckon the Rage system is higher in quality, but personally I don't think it's justifiable to put out another $400 for it. Plus I like the look of the exhaust pointing downwards to the road (xForce) rather than backwards to another motorist ...

Re: New 3" exhaust doesn't include dump pipe?
It's not bad for the price. Exhaust itself is of good quality, but the mounts aren't perfect. I had a bit of excess vibration at idle. Tweaked the accelerator pedal a little to increase idle rpm by 100 and now runs fine. No more excess vibration. Exhaust didn't knock any of the chassis components wh...

Idle speed for 1HD-FTE?
Does anyone know how to adjust the idling speed of a 1HD-FTE?
At the moment it's sitting at 600rpm which is quite low. Would prefer it to sit at around 750-800rpm.
Plus idling at 600rpm has lots of excessive rattling from the plastic panels..

Like what's under the hood, but the hood itself is ugly as hell.

Re: New 3" exhaust doesn't include dump pipe?
Thanks for all the help guys. After much going back and forth, I've decided to return the kit and go for an XForce kit. Had a look and they're both very similar in thickness and quality. XForce actually has an extra flexi-joint, comes with dump pipe and is bit cheaper. Should have just asked them to...

Hachi_Roku, is the X Force systems turbo back or dump pipe back?
a80crewza, Did your RAGE system came with a dump pipe or was the system bolted onto the factory dump pipe?

Has anyone got good experiences with XForce systems? I was looking at either that or the one I currently bought. XForce is only mild steel while the one I just bought is aluminium coated mild steel.

New 3" exhaust doesn't include dump pipe?
Hi all, Need a bit of advice here. I bought a 3 inch exhaust kit for my 1HD-FTE LandCruiser 100. Before purchasing I asked if the system would be from turbo back? They told me yes. But when I picked it up today, I noticed it didn't come with a dump pipe. Which means I would have to bolt the 3 inch s...

Re: Auto Trans Specialist in Akl?
Thanks for the recommendations guys. Turns out it wasn't my transmission. Went to Kaspa and Gearbox factory and they reckon it was shifting properly and normal. But had a clunking issue that may possibly be propeller shaft not greased enough. Apparently it's a very common issue with 100 series. No w...

Anyone has any recommendations for Auto Trans Specialist in AKL? I have a HDJ100 LandCruiser with the 4 speed auto trans. 345000kms on the clock and I'm thinking of chipping + 3"inch exhaust. Engine is in good condition but the trans feels like it needs some tender loving care in the near futur...

1HD-FTE Exhaust and Chip?
Thinking of just doing 3 inch exhaust and possibly a chip later on. Need some advice. 3 inch exhaust, will it be better to custom make one from an exhaust shop or just buy a bolt on kit? Asked around and it seems that custom job is about $1200-$1500 + GST. (Only sharp corners and mendrel bent, minor...

Thanks for the input guys. Yes Lchundy that's exactly what mine does at the moment. The one I test drove had the same issue I was assuming that it's not normal but not all that abnormal either. Re: Clunky HDJ101 4 speed transmissions?
Does the early 100 series use the same transmission as 80 series?
How much did you spend roughly to recondition it? Should I wait till it fails before I recondition it or do it now before it dies? Will it be cheaper to do it before it dies?

Clunky HDJ101 4 speed transmissions?
Test drove a couple of these trucks and it seems like their transmission are quite clunky. Usually occurs during the first 3 gears. Especially noticeable when downshifting from 3rd to 2nd when you put your foot down. Kinda feels like dropping the clutch too quick in a manual but these are 4 speed au...

Re: Any idea what's wrong?
Just wondering if this is possible? If there's something wrong with the fuel lines or fuel filter, means less fuel going in to the combustion chambers, also means less exhaust air coming out, hence turbo doesn't spool up as hard? Because the first thing I noticed was the turbo seems quieter than usu...

Yeah it does feel like not enough fuel is getting through. Methanol injection still working fine. The methanol is still being used up. Nothing done recently that could affect the engine. Also did a round trip from Akl to Palmy. On the way there, everything was working right. While I'm there I had a ...

KZJ78 manual with methanol injection and electronic fuel cut bypass. Previously, I could cruise up the same hill at 100kmph on 5th gear, EGT peaks at around 700 but I'm already on top of the hill. Foot isn't flat on the accelerator. Recently on the same hill at 5th gear, truck could barely go beyond...

Hi Tim,
I would like to purchase 4x axle end bushes. The $55 ones. Those are the ones attaching to the axle and the arms I'm guessing?
Where abouts is your shop? Can I pay cash on pick up?
Cheers,
Kevin
