Re: Cheap alignment
So; long story-short. Stay away from places without a good rep. Get it done properly because it'll save in tires, bushes, diesel consumption, etc etc. Also goto the two places: Wheel Alignment Services 281 Tuam St. crn of Barbadoes and Tuam St Jason at Hitech Wheel Alignment in Sydenham - pretty clo...

Re: What am I worth?
Just saved a search on TM to email me about any updates. Hopefully will spot something recent, with low kms then it would be just a case of frankensteining parts from one to the other and then back again. As far as purchasing a LWB; that stands to debate.. Had a chat with a mechanic who mentioned th...

Re: What am I worth?
Youre quite right sprsta, however, i'm in chch. i'm sure the same could be said about the rear diff, the compressor and the rear bar thats not too obvious in the picture. Another option i was considering was buying a more recent, lower kms lwb and fitting all the goodies to that. Still considering t...

Re: What am I worth?
Sounds like a good starting point. Cheers mate :) from previous dealings things like new CV's etc are not worth listing as that comes under general maintenance anyway...(if they need doing they need doing) Go find the price of a similar truck that is standard. use that as a base price for the actual...

Hey chaps, now with new family addition, looking at selling my truck. Its has a fair amount of work done to it before buying it; arb air locker rear, arb bumpers front and rear, front 9000lb winch, arb air compressor, carpets removed, snorkel. This thing owes me about $2500; New tires ('32, 11.5), a...

God bighorn mate - I've owned one for about half year now and been loving it. check out my blog - just put up some vids of what they can do.
'Jeros arent bad either but judging by a mate's history you would need a second mortgage to account for what breaks down.

they are cheap enough if you you're ok with putting a hole into your car and a bit of silicon.

Safari 24 <> 12 V Trying to install a stereo
G'day. I'm trying to install a stereo in a 24v safari. There are a whole bunch of 24>12v converters around but once installed the stereo seems to be cutting out (rebooting) once the volume is past 1/3. I've used a 10a 24 > 12 converter. Wondering have you folks had the issue? and if so where should ...

Re: Diesel SW/LWB WANTED
Hi Smokey, that is a nice truck, I've already had a look at it (assuming you're around the corner from me in Hoon Hay). Very tidy and well worth given work & maintenance that's gone into it; but sadly, I am after a diesel with the price of petrol these days.

Diesel SW/LWB WANTED
Hi,
Wanted SWB or LWD diesel for bush bashing and towing.
Was thinking Hilux, Bighorn, Patrol or Landy.
Low Ks, MTs are a must, Diff lockers and other toys desirable.
10k is my budget.
George

Re: Purchase advise - have a read
Thanks for the reply guys. By a near new vehicle, I meant to say that a 2000 + can be purchased for the budget versus an old hilux that would be borderline ~25 years old. I guess what I'm asking is should I go for an old dinger bearing in mind mods are possible, parts available and it can tow or sho...

was looking for about 5 K... springs from 4 door (+1" suspension lift), 2" body lift, 235/75/15 front bumper has a battle scar but mechanically a very good car and well looked after.
Oh yep, 96, 133000 km on the clock.
PM me if interested.
