Re: BJ70 dropping out of low?

Hi this is what you do. I did it and it worked. Mine was doing it too and someone sent me this post: Cheers Nigel its easiest to see if you take the cover off around both sticks. but is reachable from underneath. the transfer lever piviots on the side of the case and from half way down that there is...

Sounds like a semi floater. The end of a fully floating axle sticks out through the rim (like the front hubs do). Semi floating axles finish flush with the wheel rim where it bolts on. Yes just pry it out. They are about 8 bucks from Toyota. Put new one in carefully. Bearings should be noisy or loos...

Chinese Winches Parts / agents?

Hi Does anyone know if there is an agent for these or someone who might have parts. Or perhaps who know what aftermarket motor might fit? I've got a GEW9000lb 24v. (Exact dimensions of a Ramsey) Mine has had a melt down and I need a "back bracket combination brush" or a new motor. Otherwise it can b...

The entrance fee also helps cover meal and accomodation costs for some of the 30 odd volunteers that come down from Nelson. In 2006 they spent 2 days standing in one spot in the pouring rain marshalling for us. Cheers.

Hi no I haven't checked with a voltmeter. Should I check the power flowing into the winch motor? They just click once when I push either in or out button. I don't know what they used to sound like because I've never heard them click over the noise of the winch itself. It's a trademe Chinese winch. 2...

Winch not going :(

Hi I've got a problem with the winch and am trying to work out what's going on. We used it quite a bit last weekend without any problems. I went to wind the excess cable in yesterday while fixing things and the winch won't go at all. The solenoids click but no motor action. Does anyone know what the...

Ramsey Winches?

Hi Is anybody using a Ramsey Patriot 9500lb winch (24V version), or any Ramsey Winch? I'd like to know if you think they are any good. any problems etc. Ive had a good read of the specs and its about 10% faster and stronger than the equivalent Warn and they're about $400 cheaper. I'm just a bit conc...

Slipping out of Low Box

Hi My 70 Series has recently jumped out of the low box a couple of times. Not out of gear, but the transfer lever jumps from L4 to N, ie putting me in neutral. It seems to happen when I'm moving along slowly on a bumpy track / riverbed, it hasn't happened when I've had my foot down going for it. Doe...

What's a PTO Box worth to sell?

Off a 13BT Midi.
For the box incl the first universals, but not the drive shaft up to the winch.

Any ideas? approx $200?

Cheers

ARB

Yeah claiming the GST back - that's the whole idea.
Have a look on the net, there are a few sites which list the prices that I have seen before. Sorry don't have them with me in AKL.

Chops, you can bolt them to the chassis rails. Need to be drilled. Some clubs have regs and diagrams about how to do it best.

BTW there is a guy on the NZ4wd forum selling a bullbar in Hamilton. It's my old one he bought off me but won't fit his V6 3door. The Chasis must be different.
