Re: 4WDing in Warkworth/Wellsford area?

most of the dome valley forests are closed to 4x4's. most of us have switched to bikes as there is there is more tracks/places to go in the area for them. the ranger in the tomarata south forest has an area set aside for 4x4's and there's the infamous dome track (as mentioned) we used to go to sand ...

do a quick search of the site. you wouldn't believe how many people ask that question. also set your location in your profile and maybe introduce yourself in new members section. maybe look at joining a club. apparently this one is good for the Wellington area http://www.ccvc.org.nz

Oil catch can for the bighorn should be turning up today, ready to go in all i have to do is tap a small outlet to the bottom, and plumb up a hose to go straight to dipstick. I did that with my old truck. didnt work so well as there was quite a bit of pressure in the dipstick from blowby. most peop...

Re: v6 terrano manifolds and studs

I had this issue when I had my v6. cost me $450 at pitstop to get it fixed. they replaced the studs and reseated the manifold (shave, gaskets ect)

it lost some of its shoutiness but got some horsepower back

took my MU in for a warrant and it failed on a number of things. mostly little wear and tear things but the biggee is a leak in the power steering. its leaking where the shaft from the steering wheel enters the steering box. I am having a few issues tracking down a seal for this and was wondering if...

Lifting a MU

I have migrated to a MU from a terrano.
one thing that was clear fairly quickly was the need to get a little more clearance.
Im guessing putting in extended shackles and winding up the torsions would be the best way to go about this?
do I need to look at putting in longer shocks?
