Re: Onboard Air (a/c pump conversion)

I did mine the quick and dirty way... I fitted a rocker cover breather filter to the inlet hose (with a line tapped in from a bottle with compressor oil in it), and an airline fitting to the outlet hose... Just plug in the air line when you need it...works a treat... http://farm4.staticflickr.com/32...

I have the opposite problem...1991 Safari (grey dash) but previous owner fitted rebuilt motor (obviously newer model block) so my tacho won't work either...took a while to track down that i need the earlier tacho sender...now, just have to find one...

I thought the LWB High roof weighed in around 23-2400kg dry...

I know it's only got a payload of 350kg...whether that includes driver/passengers i don't know, but if it does, then 4 more people with me driving and i'd be seriously overloaded

Anyone got a tacho (either grey or black) spare that they don't think is made of solid gold?

For a 1991 Safari 24v (not sure whether the gauge is 12 or 24v)...

While it is only a minor problem to me, it IS a wof issue, as the issuer pointed out to me last week, after he put the new wof on (there are a few good one's out there) and before anyone thinks he's just dodgy, he wasn't gonna pass it due to a blown brake light bulb till i found a spare in the back...

Wiper issue...

I have no 'high speed' on my Safari wipers (hasn't worked since i got it) and i replaced the motor but it didn't change so i guess the fault is in the stalk.

Anyone know how to fix, or what's likely to be the fault?

Re: DIY- WRX SEATS INTO SAFARI/PATROL

I did mine (and, by the way, the seats in OP are from an STI RA, all other STI seats have a different base making it much more difficult) and took it down to Neil Fraser (Auckland certifier and race car builder for those who don't know him) and he said they were fine as they were, no cert needed as ...

Re: 24v cruiser,12v spot lights,help

I was going to do this, as it's much easier to find a cheap set of 12v spots than cheap 24v spots.

Just run 24v into the pair (in series), switched by a 24v relay.

Did I mention that an auto is over 100kgs lighter than the manual! Is that with or without the factory PTO fitted Darin?? That is just the gerbox. PTO is a manual option only so makes it even heavier. The GU auto (if RE4R03a eg 4 speed) is the same as the late model GQ auto. (eg 93 on) This auto is...

Everyone in the world over the age of 12 knows all about being a teenager; the rebellion, the angst, the desire to be exactly as different as everybody else your age.

It’s so ironic that the only people on the planet who don’t understand this fact are the ones who happen to be teenagers right now…
