nice one , i'm not the only nutter.
most of my mates wont ride with me now, on the road , off it or at the speedway.

part of it may be the fact my river toy has no doors, gets rather damp when the river is over the bonnet

the springs are almost inside out now! the height is gained by having the spring over. the chassis height goes up by about 6 inches instantly with a SOA, add in a body lift and big feet ( 2 inches in the body, about 2 3/4 inches in the wheels) and there you have the best part of ten inches.... i hav...

spring flip refers to turning the springs end for end, the axle is not in the middle of the spring on the front of a forty so spring flip moves the axle forward about three inches from memory, if done with a shackle reversal it keeps the long side of the spring on the same side as the swinging shack...

be careful putting the jack on the back of the spare, if you go over steep drop offs and such, the base of the jack can hit the ground and at best hang you there , at worst bend the whole shooting match up enough to stuff the tyre and jack through the back window. i keep hitting my spare wheel let a...

hi, i would check the shift links and bushes to make sure its not a external problem, the extra noise is probably just front shaft vibration, they not usually that well ballanced. hope youve taken the hubs out to effectivly put it in rear drive again? the only way i think the gear can move is if the...

he calls it 1/4 elliptical

well i am putting a hilux box in mine. replaced the old mount with one from southern 4wd, this puts the hilux box at the right angle to mate with the steering column. the only thing to watch is there are two types of box on a lux, one is a little shorter and you need to drop the 40's collumn a littl...

if you are in a light vehicle, we always used to use a hand winch and a ground anchor from the staybacks used for power poles. they are like a rod with an eye at one end and a screw at the other. all you do is screw them in at 45 degrees, then unscrew them when done winching. they get a bit bent but...
