Cheers for the advice though, hopefully I can make something work

4wd tracks around christchurch
Hey guys, hopefully this is the right place. Im wanting to do a day trip with a few friends in my safari this week, wanting a track that still needs 4wd but not too hard as to need support vehicles. I have hand winch at the worst but would rather a non-stuck trip. Ideally something up the port hills...

Re: WTB: RB30 head.... long shot
Im located in christchurch Im not wanting to do a NEO or DE swap as its more work than I would like to go through at this stage Im pretty happy with the power/drive of the RB30 carbie but I have struck issues with flooding the float bowl on angles which is not ideal! WTB: RB30 head.... long shot
Hey Guys,
I realise this will be a long shot, but worth a go none the less
Does anyone on here have a SOHC RB30 head (VL commodore etc) and all the EFI/ECU/loom to go with it? I am doing a carb to efi change on my RB30 Patrol

Re: gas guzzler patrol build
Has anyone put a 25de head on? would it be much harder to do as opposed to the standard 30e head?
I can see the merit of the DE head (without turbo) but I assume I would then need to chip and tune my ECU as opposed to being able to run a 30e ecu

gas guzzler patrol build
Well, Thought I would start a build thread as I will likely be needing plenty of guidence along the way! Started off with a bone stock 1990 nissan patrol. Its an aussie import powered by a carberated rb30 engine. I made the call for petrol due to the minimal usage and didnt plan on the build getting...

Re: 2nd Gen Surf No Brakes!!
just out of interest on this topic, the proportional valve had about 1.5" of movement on the thread on diff housing, would I be right to assume that if you have given it a 2" lift, then the 1.5" of travel would come close to compensating for it, plus a wee bit of a bend in the rod?

CV boots, rear drum brake shoes, bleed brakes etc etc so far I have done the fronts. and have decided that unlike my old dinky wee honda race cars that you needed a 10mm/12mm/17mm and a feather weight hammer to do anything.... these bloody trucks like to kick bac...
