I'm planning on using the mechanical fuel pump which would mean not having to worry about retro fitting a cas. It does appear that that getting the bits from another rachis would be easier.. I hope

Na to do it properly would mean decreasing the compression and getting it dump tuned. So basically can't be stuffed

Woops should have mentioned its the lazy 2lt-E.
Swamped It does have a viscous fan Im not 100% sure how to check them. Although I turned the hand throttle up to around 2000rpm and standing by the drivers door I could feel the air being pushed out under the truck by the fan.

What so special about them...gold plated? nissan boys use ford falcon coolers and fans as for the prado/crusier same getup as the 97- 05 hilux/ surf there are a couple on TM at the mo from $99 to $350. anything more then that i'd start thinking about an all alloy aftermarket job. I am after a new radiator for my landcruiser (manual LJ71) I have been quoted over $450 for one....
So my question is has anyone else replaced theirs and found the same problem, so put an alternative radiator in and if so what did you use? Cheers guys

I have had a read through their site before and that map looks to me as if they might have an agreement with the council and DOC to stop access by vehicles through the station. The map states end of public formed road, so it may just be a case of a simple phone call. Will give them a ring and report...
