I was through there last weekend and it still had some green. Last few days of Nor wester and the Flock Hill Fire will have made them cautious.

MOLESWORTH Closure
I have just had advice from DOC Marlborough that the Molesworth Road and the Sedgemere Tarndale track will close at 7pm Wednesday 4th February.
Reason for closure is Fire Danger.

At our Combined meeting Pat Dolan from Auto Sound and Security spoke about protecting our trucks from theft. Here is his follow up email to me. Note the discount at the bottom and when you go to get a quote make sure they know it is a result of them taking the time to offer some good advice. As with...

Re: Christchurch 4WD Club Open Day 17th Feb
The Weather wasn't brilliant, but the folks that came were. Seeing the smiles on the faces as we made our way down the Kowai River made up for it big time. We had 40 trucks plus the club trucks and broke into groups of 5-7. We also gave the option of a couple of groups playing hard. Ropes, winching ...

Further to my earlier Post. If you buy a 2nd hand part from someone other than a legit dealer, like off Trademe or Sella, maybe buy sell and exchange and when you pick it up it the feel is not right. Then let the police know. When they can they say they will follow up. Live next door, or down the ro...

One of the things about this day is you will see some of the Modifications the serious trucks have had done to them. But it wont be like what you have to do to yours to become a member. There are a number of trips planned to cater for standard trucks and more can be put in the program if we have the...

Has anyone used the track on the true left of the Alfred River through to Pell Stream. I think there is a hut there. I know my Dad used the track about 40 years ago in a mates Land Rover. That was to go hunting. Doubt that Trampers would use it as its only about 2 hours carpark to Lake Daniels. Ther...

Re: Oldman Range, Hyde Rock to Duffers Saddle
There are 2 gates. Both Locked. The area at the Head of Fraser River is the problem. Parts of the actual track are also on private land. DOC have been trying to get an easement through the private land. So to get to Hyde Rock you need to use one of the other roads up there.
