Thanks for the info guy's I thought my speedo was quite accurate but I will check it again, last time I checked it was at 60km but it could be further out at 100km as there is more variance at higher speeds.

Thanks for that I am getting 19/100km, with bars, winch and the 35's so I suppose that could be all I'm going to get.

Re: GQ PTO winch oil coming out breather
Thanks guy's, nice to know it's normal. It has the thick browny/yellowy stuff in it. Might have to look at adding a breather like you said Taz. Do you have one on your Safari? If you are coming up to the Manukau winch challenge it would be good to have a look at what you have done, if thats ok?

Yep they are pretty expensive if you want to stick with sliding windows. Good idea to go to 1 piece glass. If you can make up a template of the glass you want cut and take it to a glass company it will cost you alot less.

Park your vehicle on level ground and then measure verticly from the centre of the hubs to the edge of the guards and see how the measurements compare side to side.

I don't know too much about Rancho shocks but it is normally the springs that effect the ride height not the shocks. How long have you had the springs in the vehicle?

If the top seals are gone then my opinion is to replace all the seals in the pump because if a couple have gone the rest won't be far behind.

Re: safari hub seal
When you remove the axle and seal check the axle where it rubs on the seal as some times the axle can have a groove worn in it from the seal which can cause it to leak or the axle may have had moisture on it by the seal causing rust and pitting on the axle where the seal normally sits. If the groove...

I agree with you, I used to have a surf with 31's and used to have to wheel spin to get anywhere yet those on 33's and 35's could almost crawl over some of the track that caused me problems, if all the track users did a bit of maintenance when they were in there then the tracks would remain reasonab...

Does it come down to what brand of springs you use, I can not see why there should be a difference in ride heights between swb and lwb unless some has used swb spring in a lwb or vice versa?

It's in regards to Ramp Over Angle, Longer wheel base needs to be lifted higher to have the same ROA as a Short wheel base

7 inches is pretty high and would need alot of modifications, I have a shorty with a 3inch lift and that is plenty high enough, even 3 inchs seems too high.
