Re: Transfer case gears

Sorry wasn't too clear on the question. Found new 410 & 413 counter gear plus Outputs ex India. They also list a 29 tooth input with/ without shaft all related to the gypsy/ stockman they still make, was just hunting info for the 29t input. Looking at putting an sj back on the rd and the 30"...

Transfer case gears

Seems there's lots of bits out of India as they still make the stockman.

Found the 410 ratio countershaft and output gear but only a 29 tooth input gear? Think the original one was 31? Or close. But may be same dia with less toothcount?

Looks like under 400 all up for 4.16 gears + welding

Removing a windscreen SJ

This may be common knowledge but it took till I cracked mine for the penny to drop. Trim panel levers? Those plastic forked devices for popping out clips on your door cards etc, great at that but also for tweaking windscreen rubber back under the steel lip for a starting point. Then working your awa...

Complete car, reg lapsed, engine overheated and play in the output shaft on the box - but all there. Plus front end less hubs, front axles and CV's, gearbox, 30x9's on std rims with gd tread and 15x7's that prob need the centers shifted (50 a corner - I will ping them out) and 2 diff heads. Re: Ideal Jimny offstet

Are those 31's on a 7" rim. Sounds about right as factory is +5 on 5.5 wide rims. So keeping similar backspacing would require bout -13 to 14. Is there a spring lift in there also? Thanks

Ideal Jimny offstet

I have recently collected a 2006 Jimny and some ROH track 2 15x7's, at the moment they are +13 and I have some 30x9.5's to go on there. From my homework -13 seems to be the std offset to run these but can anyone out there confirm this before I ping out the centers and get them re-welded (will get ce...

Re: Wanted, Toyota wide axle brake spacers

Confused, I thought you were talking about spacing the caliper out to meet the disc but I thought it worked out with all factory bits.... are you talking about spacing the calipers "out" to suit a larger dia disc? Or both, maybe if you could name the parts used and what you want to use the...

Re: replacing tie rod ends

You can buy tie rod spreaders ( like gear/bearing pullers) put it under tension then give it a tap. Or find some 15mm plate, chop a gap in the middle and mill an angle on it.... bash with a 4lb hammer, works if the nut is at the top. And do measure from the back of the nut to a fixed referance point...

Different size but on the 1st gen d22 I brought it with these on it in a 205 16 and the front chewed out real quick, the extra width may help? I also hear the new 71's are softer? Maxis bighorns may be a better option

I get what your doing now, I know the early 3speed autos were common across many cars (the 1.6 vits being one of the smallest) and I believe the aw 4speed autos were common between the later 1.6 and v6 models. However the man boxes are probably made by a different company to the auto. I have a late ...
