Re: Front spring leaf curve ?

Flat is not the end of the world and I would think that it was pretty normal for an older ute but would suggest looking at replacements soon if they are getting inverted or 'W' shaped. you could just get some second hand ones as new replacements are usually quite expensive. or you can get your old o...

Re: 97 Terrano Reverse Lights Not Going

Not sure if its the same as the Safari ones. but my safari had the same issue, the switch is on the very top of the trans and is almost impossible to get to. I was just able to disconnect the wire and test the switch but did not have enough space to remove the switch to repair it without dropping th...

Depends how handy you are too. id be happy to save over $1000 and do a bit of touch up painting and welding if needed.
Try the rockarmour gear. pretty much the same as the MCC with better after sales support.

Re: ARB vs MCC

not an expert but i will chime in with my 2C. i have seen an ARB bar take a massive hit that would have destroyed the vehicle. it was a 80 series cruiser going a decent speed up hill with his foot buried into it and plowed into a short tree stump. not only did it save the 4wd but for the most part t...

Re: Towing with auto 80

Had a mate having very similar issues. he was running big tyres and towing so that didnt help. main culprit was under filling the trans fluid. going back a while but from memory he was checking before it was at full operating temp and was checking in the wrong gear. (cant remember if it needs to be ...

Hope tho photos load. not the best but all i have on me.

I used some ACM panel and cut to shape to fill in the space below the ash tray. then bought a cheep switch panel from trade me i believe.
works really well and has plenty of space inside the box for cables and and fuses etc.

yea im about 20L/100k at the moment on 33s but thats empty.
Ill look into plugs and points and injectors, egr, cat, etc to get the fuel use down a bit.
Just did all the oils and they all came out nice and clear (including th eAuto) so thats a good sign.

easy enough to get parts shipped these days. Off hand it was just shy of 3L for the rear dif and 2L for the front. But could use different oils in each one if you have LSD rear, or Lockers. Not sure about the filler for the gearbox but some go through the dip stick tube. Can also compare to the castrol site for quantities and recommended oil t...

Keep the info coming. I have the Evo 9500 80:1 and am very happy with it out of the box, but, always need more and need to keep the speed up when heavily loaded.

Also keen to see how you set up your air free spool.

Anyone have any Experience with the GMC / Chevy Tahoe

Anyone owned a late 90s GMC / Chevy Taho / Yukon (GMT400)? I'm tossing up ideas on getting a newer vehicle and these seem to tick a few boxes. Needing something that can tow 2.5+tonnes long distance on the odd occasion and something that is fairly capable off road. and something that is very reliabl...

Option C ! They are a great looking tyre. not horrible in the wet (unless you drive your 4x4 like a race car). And you will end up with 2 good spare tyres (your 2 good KM2) or sell them for a couple hundred. And that one time that one time you need to rescue your mate from Tuakau bridge you will be ...

Mine did the same thing when upgrading the radio to a newer unit. Issue was the limited power supply from the 24-12v converter. I dont know the cruiser system very well so correct me if im wrong. When the batteries are put in series (24v) for that time alot of your other electrics will have to be isolated. You wont want 24v going to lighs and radios and computers etc
